Description Of Tungsten Carbide Tipped Saw Blade

Tungsten Carbide Tipped Saw Blade is a high-performance cutting tool manufactured by brazing tungsten carbide tips onto a hardened steel blade body. The carbide tips form the cutting teeth, while the steel body provides the structural support and mounting interface. This combination delivers exceptional cutting performance and tool life that far surpasses conventional high-speed steel (HSS) blades.

The manufacturing process begins with a precision-ground steel blank, typically made from alloy steel (such as 65Mn or comparable grades) that has been hardened and tempered for optimal strength and flatness. Tungsten carbide tips are then brazed onto the tooth seats using silver-based brazing alloys at controlled temperatures. The brazed assembly undergoes precision grinding to achieve the final tooth geometry, including rake angle, relief angle, and tooth profile. The finished blade is then tensioned, inspected, and laser-etched with specifications.

Tungsten carbide tipped saw blades offer exceptional performance characteristics. The carbide tips provide hardness of HRA 89–92 — far surpassing the HRC 60–65 of HSS blades — enabling them to maintain sharp cutting edges through extended use. The tool life is 10 to 50 times longer than HSS blades depending on the material being cut. The precision-ground teeth ensure smooth, clean cuts with minimal chipping and burrs, reducing the need for secondary finishing operations.
