Premium Cemented Carbide Button is a high-performance wear element manufactured from 100% virgin tungsten carbide (WC) with a metallic cobalt binder through advanced powder metallurgy and HIP (Hot Isostatic Pressing) sintering processes. These buttons are precision-engineered to be installed into drilling tools, mining equipment, and wear-resistant components, serving as the critical rock-contact point that directly engages with the formation.

The manufacturing process begins with the selection of high-quality tungsten carbide powder — 100% virgin material. The powder is mixed with cobalt binder, ball-milled, pressed into button blanks, and vacuum-sintered at high temperatures. HIP sintering ensures a uniform, dense microstructure with minimal porosity, delivering high density, high wear resistance, and high-performance mechanical properties. How It Works Of Premium Cemented Carbide Button

In a drilling system, the steel bit body provides structure, thread connection, flushing channels, and energy transfer. The premium cemented carbide button, however, is where the drilling energy becomes rock breakage. The button performs four critical jobs simultaneously:

1. Fracture the rock: The button concentrates load into the rock surface so the formation fractures or crushes.
