Description Of Stellite 20 Valve Balls

Stellite 20 Valve Balls are high-performance valve balls manufactured from Stellite 20, a cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloy known for its exceptional wear resistance, high hardness, and corrosion resistance. Stellite 20 contains approximately 32% chromium, 8% tungsten, and 2.5% carbon, providing higher hardness and wear resistance than Stellite 6, making it ideal for the most demanding severe-service applications.

Stellite 20 valve balls are precision-ground and lapped to achieve tight tolerances and excellent sphericity, ensuring reliable sealing performance in high-pressure valves, check valves, and pump systems. The material maintains its hardness and mechanical properties at elevated temperatures, making it suitable for high-temperature and high-wear applications.

Stellite 20 valve balls are available in custom diameters and surface finishes including ground, lapped, and polished. Typical applications include high-pressure valves, oil and gas equipment, chemical processing, and severe-service applications.

Features Of Stellite 20 Valve Balls

  • Exceptional Wear Resistance: Stellite 20 offers superior resistance to abrasion, erosion, and galling.

  • High Hardness: 48-55 HRC, higher than Stellite 6, for the most demanding wear applications.

  • Outstanding Corrosion Resistance: Resists harsh chemicals, acids, and seawater.

  • Superior High-Temperature Strength: Maintains hardness and mechanical properties at elevated temperatures.

  • Reliable Sealing: Precision-ground and lapped to achieve tight tolerances and excellent sphericity.

  • Non-Magnetic and Non-Sparking: Suitable for hazardous environments.
