Description Of Stellite 20 Cobalt Chromium Alloy Sheet

Stellite 20 Cobalt Chromium Alloy Sheet is a high-performance alloy sheet manufactured from Stellite 20 (UNS R30020), a cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloy known for its exceptional wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature strength. Stellite 20 is a hardfacing alloy designed for applications requiring high hardness and excellent resistance to abrasion and erosion.

Stellite 20 contains approximately 32% chromium, 8% tungsten, and 2.5% carbon, providing higher hardness and wear resistance than Stellite 6. Its unique microstructure, featuring hard carbide particles dispersed in a tough cobalt matrix, provides outstanding resistance to abrasion, erosion, and galling. The alloy maintains its hardness and mechanical properties at elevated temperatures, making it ideal for high-wear applications.

Custom cobalt alloy sheets are available in custom thicknesses, widths, and lengths, with surface finishes including machined, ground, and polished. Typical applications include cutting tools, valve components, wear-resistant liners, and high-wear industrial components.
